Match Report - 24 Sep 2011, Phoenix Hockey Club Ladies 2nd XI drew with Chelmsford 5
Phoenix made a good start and were soon rewarded when Amanda Revell put away a goal from a short corner routine. They had some more chances from a run of short corners but were unable to convert them. Chelmsford had a few chances but some good saves from April Cowley kept them in the lead.
After half time Phoenix created some great chances, Sue Hartley went narrowly wide and Amanda Revell hit the post. Chelmsford seemed to be encouraged by Phoenix being unable to convert and as the game went on created some opportunities of their own. In the last few minutes of the game Chelmsford managed to get a shot away at the top of the circle, which went right in the far corner. Both teams shared the points.
