Blue Hornets Hockey club is the Junior part of Phoenix Hockey club and is one of the most successful in Essex, they have had some terrific success in recent years. Last season, we came equal top with Old Loughtonians in the whole of Essex and managed to get at least 20 players into the Essex county teams. However, our most important aim is the FUN element and that they enjoy themselves.

We often get 100+ players on a Sunday morning, but can always do with more, to fully enjoy playing matches as well as coaching new skills. Kids always enjoy the experience more when they bring their friends so, even if they have never tried, WE WANT YOU TO SPREAD THE WORD TO YOUR FRIENDS AND GET THEM TO COME ALONG AND TRY HOCKEY. It is known to be one of the best sports for kids to utilize their hand/eye coordination skills as well as improve their fitness. There are few sports that can really claim this as a benefit. So ……..get your friends to come along. They can try it out for a few weeks. We can provide a hockey stick and you don’t need to pay for the first month!

The links with Phoenix are being put in place to ensure that we can allow our juniors to to see a development path beyond the juniors as you get older.
